• Back-to-back Pac-12 Champion, No. 9 STANFORD, has the opportunity to clinch its third consecutive Conference title this weekend. A top-25 matchup between the Cardinal and No. 16 WASHINGTON highlights the week for #SundayGoals on the Pac-12 Network. The week kicks off with Stanford hosting OREGON STATE and Washington at CALIFORNIA to be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network on Thursday, Oct. 27. UCLA hosts a non-conference matchup against Costal Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 29 and Oregon State visits California on Sunday, Oct. 30.
• The Pac-12 continues to have three teams ranked in the NSCAA top-25 poll this week. Stanford sits at No. 9, followed by Washington at No. 16, and SAN DIEGO STATE at No. 24. UCLA also received votes.
• San Diego State’s Adam Allmaras was named the Conference’s Player of the Week for the second time this season. The redshirt junior goalkeeper made three saves against Cal to complete his Conference-leading ninth shutout of the season in the 1-0 victory. He now has 19-career shutouts and leads the Conference in goals against average (.563) and save percentage (.870). This was Allmaras’ second-career nod and San Diego State’s 24th all-time.
• Stanford is looking to become the second men’s soccer program to win at least three consecutive Conference titles. UCLA took the Conference tile for four straight seasons from 2002-05. A Cardinal win paired with a Washington loss at Cal on Thursday would clinch Stanford’s third-consecutive Pac-12 Championship. The match between the Cardinal and Washington on Sunday could also determine the Conference champion with a Stanford victory.
• Stanford’s 3-2 win at then No. 24 UCLA marked the first time in program history the Cardinal swept the season series with the Bruins after winning 3-0 at home earlier this month. Junior forward Foster Langsdorf’s game-winning goal moved him into a tie with Cal’s Christian Thierjung for the Conference lead in goals (9). Stanford is 10-1-3 in its last 14 matches against ranked opponents.
• SDSU swept the Golden Bears for the first time since 2009 after a 1-0 win at home and an overtime 1-0 win in Berkeley. The Aztecs are ranked third nationally in save percentage (0.871) and lead the Conference in shutout percentage (0.60) and team goals against average (0.56).
• Washington earned its 10th win of the season, 3-1, over in-state rival Gonzaga. Freshman Handwalla Bwana is tied with UCLA’s Jackson Yueill for the Conference lead in assists per game (0.43).
• California got its first Conference win of the season in a 2-1 upset at then No. 24 UCLA. Senior Christian Thierjung leads the Conference in shots per game (3.15), points per game (1.46), and goals per game (.69).
